Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a great Thanksgiving this year. We got to spend a lot of time in Maryland with my parents. We saw lots of family, watched footy, went hiking, shopped on Black Friday, and had time to relax.
Cambria really enjoyed her first hike. It was a little chilly but she seems to enjoy being outside more than she minds the weather. Plus, with her love of staring at trees, she was in her happy place.

The turkeys I made were cute but time-consuming, yet a great excuse to keep some candy corn from Halloween.

4 Months Old!

Height: 24 1/4 inches
Weight: 11lb 6oz

  • She found her feet and they are her new favorite thing to play with
  • Her favorite "toy" is currently a snack-size bag of SunChips. She likes that it is easy to grab, crinkly, rattles when shook, and is full of air
  • She loves to be out and about running errands with mom & dad. The comments she usually gets are "look at those eyes" "she looks like a doll" and "she's so alert!"
  • She is learning how to roll over. She's rolled from her tummy to back twice.
  • She loves to put her fingers in her mouth
  • She loves splashing and singing in the bath every night
  • She is enthralled with her reflection in the mirror
  • She holds a bottle on her own
  • She loves to be outside, even if it's a little chilly and she has to be bundled up

Caught by the laundry monster!

Happy Halloween!

Halloween was so much fun this year because we had a little one to dress up! Cambria was a cute little Ladybug. We went to our church's halloween Chili cookoff and trunk-or-treat. I was a ladybug too so we matched!

She also got to go trick-or-treating around the neighborhood that I grew up in. We only went to a few houses to introduce her to people who had been asking my parents about her. We have one old rich neighbor who always gives away rare $2 bills instead of candy. Here's Cambria with all her loot.
